At Child Care Centre, we'll start with providing Pre-K, KG1 and KG2 classes in Arabic, and include English as a 2nd language.
We aim at supporting development in all areas, including social, cognitive, emotional, mental and physical. We believe it’s important for children to learn about the world around them, while learning to express themselves, be creative and develop critical thinking.
Our curriculum is built on Play-based, Project-based and uses the Reggio Emilia approach. We also include the Anti-bias Curriculum and The Circle of Security (using the Attachment theory). This means that we will be focusing on understanding and valuing each child, while supporting their development. We believe it's pivotal to aim at understanding each child's individual needs, while building a loving and supportive environment. A child learns most when feeling safe and comfortable, and then being able to experience and discovering new things.
By creating a nurturing environment, and supporting a child's development, we ensure that every child receives the quality education they deserve.
As parents often know their children best, it's foundational to include parents in our program. We love building a positive partnership together while interacting and supporting each other. This includes sharing ideas, suggestions, providing a listening ear, joining our activities and collaborating together.
Our centre runs 5 days a week, Sunday - Thursday, from 9:00am - 1:00pm.
Children can arrive at anytime between 8:45-9:00am.
Ages acceptable are from 3.5 - 7 years of age; entering Pre-K, KG1, KG2 or Year 1
The daily class schedule includes:
Arabic, English, Maths, Science, Religion, Art and Music
learning through playing and fun activities
building positive behavioural character
Our curriculum is Project-Based, Play-Based and built on the Reggio Emilia Philosophy. This means that we focus on children learn greatly through:
playing
having fun
discovering things
doing activities and experiments
interacting with peers and adults
art, science and nature activities
Children are encouraged to observe, interact, ask questions, make things and discover new things. The projects are planned out and some examples are: 'Planting a Garden', 'Push and Pull', 'How to Build a House', 'Chickens and Eggs'. The children are given different roles and responsibilities according to their age group. With the different learning centres that are planned out, children can enjoy moving around to different activities.
This concept is very new in our area, as most daycares and schools use the traditional method of direct-instruction teaching and summative assessment. We desire to show the powerful effects of learning through playing, interacting, exploring and discovering. At our centre, staff members continually observe, record, interact and scaffold with the children. Upon observing the children and their interests, a project is chosen to build upon.
We are providing a holistic approach to early childhood education, offering tailored learning activities and specialised classes to bridge educational disparities. Our emphasis on personalised learning, inclusive education, and community engagement sets us apart, effectively addressing the lack of quality education and unequal access to learning opportunities for underprivileged children in Egypt, ultimately breaking the cycle of social classism.
